We are seeking a Lead Restoration Technician to join our team. This is an impactful role, as you will be assisting customers who have experienced fire or water damage in returning their homes or businesses to good condition. You will perform cleaning, drying, and demolition work as well as other restoration activities. The ideal candidate understands the importance of this position and cares deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it will have on customers.
Responsibilities- Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers
- Communicate effectively with customers
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintain toolbox
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Complete work orders
- Perform cleaning, drying, demolition, and other restoration work
- Complete appropriate restoration documentation including drying logs, equipment logs, and sketches
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in work vehicle and stock supplies for each project
- Keep workspace and vehicle clean and organized
- Prepare job site for restoration activities
- Communicate and supervise project objectives with technicians
- Work closely with Restoration Technicians
- Inspect completed work
- 24 Hour on call shifts
- Certification from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) is preferred
- Previous experience as a Restoration Technician or in a similar role is preferred
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including climbing ladders, working at heights and in tight spaces, and lifting heavy objects
- Ability to travel, both locally and out of state
- Oral Communication – Speaks clearly. Shows respect when addressing customers and superiors. Able to effectively respond to excited customers. Adaptable and able to think on his/her feet.
- Written Communication – Writes clear and accurate job notes and emails. The individual is able to read and interpret written information. Uses appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
- Planning & Organizing – Plans and organizes work activities considering the nature of the job uses on key priorities. Pays attention to details.
- Technical – Is appropriately trained and/or certified and effectively performs all production work within the restoration division.
- Quality – the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors his / her own work to ensure quality.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
