We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable CCTV Monitoring Specialist to help support safety, operational excellence, and overall profitability across our convenience store locations throughout Coastal Georgia and South Carolina. This role remotely monitors store activity via CCTV to ensure compliance with standards related to customer service, cleanliness, food preparation, inventory, and loss prevention. Serving as the eyes of our operations, this position identifies trends, flags concerns, helps prevent theft, and provides actionable insights that support consistent, high-quality customer experiences across all locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage across multiple store locations, including:
    • Customer Service:
      Interactions, engagement, and adherence to service standards
    • Cleanliness & Maintenance:
      Store interiors, exteriors, restrooms, and high-traffic areas
    • Food Preparation:
      Hygiene, food safety, and consistency with operational protocols
    • Inventory & Merchandising:
      In-stock levels, planogram compliance, displays, and promotional items
  • Compile and submit reports highlighting areas of excellence and concern, supported by time-stamped observations and video references.
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, reports, and evidence files for investigations and audits.
  • Escalate urgent safety, theft, or compliance issues to appropriate internal departments in real time.
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention, store managers, district leaders, and operations teams to provide actionable feedback that supports training, accountability, and operational improvement.
  • Review BARS transactions and report findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Review and archive footage to support investigations involving internal or external theft, accidents, or liability claims.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all privacy, data security, and surveillance compliance protocols.
  • Collaborate with Operations and the alarm monitoring company to maintain accurate alarm contact lists.

Education and Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in surveillance, loss prevention, retail operations, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during extended monitoring periods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for compiling clear, professional reports
  • Proficiency with CCTV platforms, video playback tools, and basic office software (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment

Preferred:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Security, Business, or a related field
  • Knowledge of retail theft trends, fraud detection, and workplace safety best practices
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk while working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
