Security Officer

Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as a Security Officer and help ensure the safety and security of our clients, employees, visitors, and property. As the first point of contact for many within our community, you will act as both a protector and ambassador, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional presence. This role requires strong observational skills, quick decision-making abilities, and a proactive approach to handling security and safety matters.

• Monitor Access: Check IDs, issue visitor passes, and ensure only authorized people enter the premises.
• Patrol the Area: Walk or drive around the property to make sure everything is safe and secure.
• Respond to Incidents: Handle alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activity and provide first aid if needed.
• Use Technology: Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems to spot issues quickly.
• Write Reports: Keep clear and detailed records of any incidents or activities.
• Help Out: Offer directions and assistance to residents, guests, and visitors.
• Enforce Rules: Educate others on safety policies and elevate issues if needed.
• Support During Emergencies: Help with traffic or crowd control during special events or emergencies.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, email, smartphones).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred; we can provide training).
• Great communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Physically able to patrol, respond to emergencies, and work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
