Position SummaryThe Physician Liaison is responsible for recruiting and providing new patients to the assigned offices by building and nurturing relationships with external referral sources such as other physician groups, hospitals, physicians, nurses, office managers, and referral coordinators. The role builds and grows referral relationships through sales activities, a consultative sales approach, virtual outreach and other marketing techniques. This part‑time opportunity averages 25 hours per week and is critical to SENTA Partners’ success in becoming the industry leader for ENT & Allergy physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and grow strong relationships with direct referral sources through scheduled account visits to recruit new patient referrals.
- Conduct face‑to‑face sales calls and presentations to referral sources, introducing ENT and Allergy services and new service lines.
- Obtain, interpret, and analyze physician referral data to optimize sales effectiveness and prioritize sales and logistics plans to reach weekly and monthly objectives.
- Use Sales Force CRM to develop and maintain an effective field‑activity tracking system documenting calls, notes and other activities.
- Promote and participate in community awareness through events and outreach.
- Define and continuously refine the competitive landscape and value proposition of the assigned practices.
- Resolve physician customer‑service calls, making decisions within authorized scope or directing them to the proper authority.
- Provide timely follow‑up on specific questions, areas of interest, or concerns expressed by referral sources.
- Facilitate introduction of new referring physicians and support staff to assigned practices and ensure they receive appropriate and timely educational information.
- Work with leadership on referral‑source retention and growth strategies.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and review findings with physicians and leadership.
- Aid in identifying referral‑growth strategy, setting goals, calculating forecasts, and creating plans toward increased market penetration.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Participate in educational activities and self‑development to enhance professional growth.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct as established by the organization.
- Encourage and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with physicians/providers.
- Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of sales/healthcare experience (required).
- Experience in healthcare sales and/or marketing; specialties such as pulmonology, urgent care, primary care, pediatrics and endocrinology are a plus.
- Experience with Sales Force Contact Management System is a plus.
- Excellent face‑to‑face communication skills.
- Disciplined to work independently, closing new leads and following up on existing leads.
- High energy, drive and public‑relations confidence.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment while prioritizing tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office.
- Must follow professional dress code.
