Location:

St. Joseph's/Candler.

• Utilize the Nursing Process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating to deliver patient care.
• Manage assigned personnel and promote collaboration among the multidisciplinary health‑care team.
• Conduct assessments and reassessments, communicate changes in status to appropriate care providers.
• Formulate and modify plan of care based on evaluations, collaborate with the health‑care team to improve patient outcomes.
• Engage resources for timely discharge and throughput, anticipate discharge needs, and provide input to decrease inefficiencies.
• Use Teach‑Back technique and effective counseling to assess patient understanding, provide education, and facilitate improved healthy behaviors.
• Develop and implement care plans with the health‑care team, serve as resource for professional communication with physicians.
• Ensure consistent rounding and present‑on‑admission indicators.
• Follow regulatory guidelines, utilize safety equipment, and promote a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Administer medication using the 5 rights and safety equipment, utilize clinical judgment for goal attainment.
• Hold health‑care providers accountable for standard of care.

• Education:
  
  Associates in Nursing – Required.
• Experience:
  
  2–3 years – Required;
  Medical/Surgical and/or Critical Care in a hospital within last five years preferred.
• License & Certification:
  Professional License with State of Practice – Required;
  National Certification – Preferred;
  Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required;
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required for Critical Care units;
  Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – Required for PACU and ED units.
