This is a part‑time hourly position, not eligible for benefits.
Job Responsibilities- Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Administer prescribed medications, immunizations
- Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records
- Modify client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions
- Monitor and record all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
- Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in clients' conditions
- Prepare clients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure stock of supplies is maintained
- Provide education to client and family
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse, CPR certification and completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
Additional InformationAll Coastal Health District County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
