Under general supervision provides care for patients under the Family Planning, STD, HIV, and TB protocols. Complete physicals, diagnose, treat, and manage care of all patients seen in the clinic.
Work Schedule: M-F, 13 paid holidays. Excellent benefit package.
All Coastal Health District, County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. You may be called on to participate in events such as staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). Participation is part of the job requirements, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
Provides comprehensive assessment of the client's health care needs
- 2. Provides treatments, administers medications/vaccines, and preventative/maintenance care to clients and families
- 3. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
- 4. Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records
- 5. Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients responses and conditions
- 6. Monitors all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
- 7. Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients conditions
- 8. Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments
- 9. Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
- 10. Provides education to clients, families, and community service providers
- 11. Provides health care, first aid, and immunizations
Qualifications:
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Registered Nurse 1 (HCP
190) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting preferred. 2+ years of patient/client case management experience.
