Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing safe, efficient, and compliant chemical manufacturing operations during assigned shifts for our client located in Savannah, GA. This role leads hourly operators, ensures adherence to process parameters, and drives production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in chemical engineering and proven leadership capability in an industrial setting.

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during assigned shifts to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Lead, coach, and develop operators and technicians, including task assignments, performance feedback, and on-the-job training
• Ensure strict compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, PSM requirements, and environmental standards
• Monitor process conditions, troubleshoot operational issues, and take corrective actions to maintain stable and efficient operations
• Review production data, shift logs, and batch records; ensure accurate and timely documentation
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, quality, and EHS teams to address equipment issues, process improvements, and non-conformances
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist in their development and continuous improvement
• Support startup, shutdown, and changeover activities as required
• Communicate effectively during shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process operations, or industrial production (Internship experience preferred)

• Knowledge of safety management systems, including PSM, MOC, and HAZOP concepts
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
