Position: Mechanical Millwright
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay Rate: $32-$34 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 40-55 hours per week, with overtime available
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Millwright to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a high-production manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in keeping equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bolt-up assemblies, precision alignment, and calibration of machinery
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment including conveyors, presses, mixers, and related systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair components using hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining equipment
- Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and system optimization
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection logs
- Work closely with electricians, automation technicians, and engineers
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement and process upgrades
- High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)
- Journeyman-level millwright experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Experience with bolt-up assemblies, conveyors, presses, mixers, and robotics
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Proficient with hand tools, precision instruments, and welding equipment
- OSHA 10 Certification required
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
