4th Shift Assistant Shipping Manager (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Position at Webstaurant Store.

The 4th Shift Assistant Shipping Manager reports to the 4th Shift Shipping Manager and oversees the entire 4th shift operation. The role requires extensive knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and protocols, a developmental mindset that ensures continual process improvement and increased warehouse efficiency and production, and the responsibility to provide training and development for shipping employees. The assistant manager reviews employees who do not meet standards and ensures retraining and correction.

They collaborate with the Shipping Manager to set staffing levels, enforce production standards, monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, and lead weekly and monthly manager meetings to relay information up the chain.

• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics
• Maintain proper employment levels to ensure metrics are met
• Document and record all developmental employment interactions
• Delegate quarterly initiatives and monitor progress
• Conduct daily staff meetings
• Handle carrier issues that may arise
• Handle equipment issues
• Develop continuous procedural improvements

• Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours per day
• Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 75 lbs

• 1-2 years of leadership experience working with a team of more than 12 employees preferred
• Experience working in a distribution environment preferred, but not required
