Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Level 2 Job Type: Full-time / Direct Hire Pay Range: $25.75 - $39.01 / hour + Benefits for non-local - (Relocation Bonus Provided) Two shifts are available, see details below Job Description Work Schedule (Shift Options) 1 – Morning Shift: 1st shift 6:30am - 3pm (Mon – Fri)

OR

2 – Weekend shift – (Fri – Sun) from 6am - 6:30pm (working 36 hours but paid for 40 with 10% shift premium)

Domestic and international travel up to 20%

Job Summary

The Field Technician III will support on-wing and off-wing aircraft engine maintenance and repair for business aviation customers. This role involves troubleshooting, engine maintenance, customer interaction, and working under repair station standards. The technician will primarily be based in Greenfield, IN, with occasional support at the Indianapolis repair station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on-wing and off-wing engine maintenance, including engine changes
  • Follow work scope instructions as directed by Maintenance Operations Control
  • Obtain and maintain repair station inspection approvals
  • Interface professionally with customers
  • Use troubleshooting methods to identify defects in components and parts
  • Access and utilize engine data materials such as AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.
  • Interpret and apply Service Bulletins, FAA Airworthiness Directives, and Technical Variances as applicable
  • Meet physical requirements including lifting up to approximately 50 lbs and passing a required eye exam
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance/repair/overhaul experience

OR

  • Associate’s Degree with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance/repair/overhaul experience
  • Ability to meet requirements for a FAA/DOT background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to work in a FAA safety-sensitive environment and comply with FAA‑mandated drug and alcohol regulations
