Position Summary

Oak View Group has an exciting opening for an HVAC Engineer at Enmarket Arena. This position maintains all HVAC aspects of the Enmarket Arena during events and non‑event days. It also helps to control and monitor all Enmarket Arena mechanical systems throughout the facility.

This role pays an hourly rate of $26.00‑$30.00.

About The Venue

The Enmarket Arena boasts a 9,500‑seat arena with luxury suites, club seating, and first‑rate food and beverage. The Enmarket Arena has bolstered entertainment in the Southeast by hosting must‑see national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and more. The venue is also expanding sports in the region by recently introducing a tenant ECHL hockey team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, along with presenting professional, collegiate and amateur sporting events.

Responsibilities
  • Under guidance from the Chief Engineer, perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all Enmarket Arena mechanical systems including, but not limited to, building chillers, ice plant, pumps, boilers, air handlers and all other building assets as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all Enmarket Arena mechanical systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot building systems using appropriate testing devices.
  • Repair and replace equipment, plumbing equipment, and fixtures.
  • Assist in operating the Enmarket Arena during event and non‑event modes as efficiently as possible.
  • Assist with Zamboni maintenance and ice maintenance during event and non‑event days.
  • Operate and maintain equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, aerial lifts, Zamboni, hand tools, power tools, pickup truck, etc.
  • Maintain all aspects of the CMMS preventative maintenance and repair system.
  • Assist as needed in all areas of operations.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated basic knowledge of methods, principles, and practices required for the operation, repair, and maintenance of all systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical codes.
  • Preferred but not required to understand LEED Certified Buildings and take initiatives toward it.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules and produce accurate results; ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment in routine matters.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Must be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Related college/tech school degree or 3 years’ experience in HVAC.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of this job which include accessing all areas of the facility, lifting and carrying up to sixty (60) pounds, moving, climbing, and working at various heights.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
