This is a full-time, on-site position for a Family Law Attorney based in Savannah, GA. In this role, the attorney will handle a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, asset division, and other family-related legal issues. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents such as motions and pleadings, conducting legal research, preparing for depositions, providing counsel to clients, and representing clients in court proceedings.
Collaboration with the firm's support team and adherence to "The M&T Way" are key aspects of this role.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Family Law and handling legal issues related to divorce, child custody, and other family matters
- Proficiency in drafting and filing legal documents, including motions and pleadings
- Experience preparing for and conducting depositions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to provide compassionate client representation
- Strong research and analytical skills to address complex legal issues effectively
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in the Georgia State Bar
- Experience in litigation and court representation is preferred
