HR Business Partner at St. Joseph's/Candler

Full‑time, Mid‑Senior level

• Serve as the liaison between Human Resources and assigned business units to ensure compliance with federal and state employment law, benefits, discrimination, and disciplinary processes.
• Support the Manager of Employee Relations with various employee‑relations tasks and projects.
• Attend manager meetings, conduct site visits, and facilitate data entry and benefit enrollment processes.
• Provide assistance, support, and consultation on basic to mid‑level employee‑relations issues to managers and co‑workers, ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
• Screen applications, manage applicant tracking status, and coordinate background, credit, motor‑vehicle checks, rehire status, and interview notes.
• Coordinate temporary agency staffing as needed.
• Assist with projects ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and applicable regulations related to employment, discrimination, sexual harassment, disciplinary processes, problem resolution, unemployment compensation, wage and hour, benefits, and immigration.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (required).
• Experience:
  
  3–5 years of Human Resources experience (required).
• Knowledge of employee‑relations principles, practices, methods, and programs.
• Understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.
• Professional certification in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
