Join the Kessler Hospitality team as a part‑time breakfast attendant. Kessler Hospitality is a portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels that provide luxurious accommodations and intuitive service across the United States.

Job Summary:

The Breakfast Attendant provides exceptional service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner within the complimentary breakfast area of the hotel.

Location

Savannah’s historic district, Foley House Inn – a boutique bed‑and‑breakfast housed in a restored 19th‑century mansion. The property offers individually styled guest rooms and modern comforts.

Responsibilities
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service‑oriented manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.
  • Clear, clean and reset tables and hotel spaces per client request or management instruction.
  • Ensure all service areas are stocked, organized, clean and neat, and that all side work is completed each shift.
  • Accommodate special requests made by a guest and offer appropriate alternatives when necessary.
  • Support all areas of beverage and food service as necessary, including washing dishes by hand or in a dishwashing machine, restocking dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, sweeping and mopping floors, washing work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks, and moving trash and garbage.
  • Control food serving portions and organization.
  • Set up and display food, backups, and all necessary items for breakfast and other service times.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and side‑work duties according to station rotation assignment.
  • Answer questions about the hotel, brand standards, guest expectations, the unique characteristics of the hotel, and local area attractions.
  • Wash pots, pans and trays when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pantry and coolers.
  • Clean countertops and walls, mop floors.
  • Perform any other duties or attend meetings as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must meet the legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and satisfactorily pass a responsible serving course such as TIPs, as required by the property.
  • Must be able to obtain and provide a Food Handlers card, as required by local regulations.
  • Ability to evaluate alternatives quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
  • Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
  • Effective communication skills when answering phones and speaking with guests and team members.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be of service to others.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Ability to perform basic numerical operations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and short correspondence.
  • Patience, tact, and diplomacy when dealing with customers and staff.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and provide backup and support to other team members.
