Augusta University is seeking a certified medical assistant for a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position in the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services. The base rate is $20.00 per hour with 41 paid days off annually.

Savannah RYDC, 191 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, GA  (Chatham County).

Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma with two years of experience
  • Certification: AAMA, CCMA, Med Ca, NCMA, or RMA
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clinical support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and other providers.
  • Perform patient triage: take vital signs, record patient interviews, and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
  • Process laboratory requests, including venipuncture, and perform routine screening tests, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and dressing changes.
  • Administration of prescribed medications and recording of dosage and timing on patient records.
  • Enter clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments as needed.
Additional

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years in a clinical setting, with correctional clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records.
  • Bi‑lingual skills are a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software/databases
