Coastal Pediatric Therapies offers speech, physical, and occupational therapy to children of Savannah and the surrounding area and we are looking for a pediatric occupational therapist (FULL time or PART time) to join our growing team. We believe children reach their maximum potential when in a place that is professional, comprehensive and fun. We provide occupational, physical and speech therapy services in a “kid” friendly environment treating children from birth to 21 years old.
Our goal is to provide treatment that meets the highest professional standards in an environment that enhances each child’s functional abilities.
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine their fine motor abilities, sensory skills, feeding limitations, medical histories and personal goals
- Caseload tasks include but are not limited to the following: direct treatment, documentation, reports, client collaboration, parent training, assessment tracking.
- Communicate with physicians and other health care providers to confirm plans of care
- Advise family/extended family about the level of care the patient needs
- Provide physical therapy guidance, support and education during patient sessions
- Guide patients/families through home programs to assist in meeting therapeutic and personal goals
- Generate reports for patients and their physicians and families
- Implements knowledge and solid application with Coastal Pediatric Therapies’ processes and procedures, especially all clinical policies.
- Follows and completes task list for assigned caseload responsibilities.
- Meet Coastal Pediatric Therapies' requirements for documentation.
- Communicate with parents and provide clinical carryover strategies
- Works and collaborates with other team members.
- Ensures that minor clients are safe and supervised at all times when under the clinician’s care.
- Passes background screening.
- Reports any suspicions of abuse/neglect to DCS immediately and supports with any staff or parent follow up and documentation.
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in OT while maintaining an active Georgia license/certificate
- Experience (1 year or more) at working with children.
