Overview
The receptionist is responsible for completing patient registration, updating patient accounts, scheduling patient appointments and collecting fees due at time of service to include outstanding balances within EMR. This position requires answering calls ensuring the proper documentation is gathered and directed to appropriate party. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude towards the patients, physicians, and fellow employees.
Must have strong people skills and be a team player. Individual must maintain a professional attitude while performing multiple tasks in a pressured environment. Individual must be innovative and self-motivating, engaging in tasks without being directed to do so. Individual must be detail oriented.
High School Diploma - Preferred
Experience1 Year Office Practice Setting - Required
Knowledge of medical terminology - Preferred
License & CertificationNone Required
Core Job Functions- Performs eligibility. Accurately inputs patient demographic and insurance information. Schedules appointments accordingly.
- Answers phones. Processes incoming and outgoing documents. Collects payments.
