Programming Director

The Programming Director supports the end-to-end live music/comedy bookings and event process, working closely with venue leadership, artists, talent representatives/ promoters, and the event manager. This role requires clear communication, accurate administration, and seamless execution of live events while upholding the brand standards and culture of Nickel and Oak Lounge. The Programming director will report to the Lounge General Manager and owner.

Coordinate artist availability and communicate scheduling details internally and externally throughout the year.

Liaise with artists, agents, promoters, and vendors to secure bookings and confirm event details.

Manage booking details and logistics through a talent contract rider.

Research and develop recurring entertainment series and special events.

Oversee event timelines including announcements, marketing and promoting materials locally in town such as artwork, flyers, and online social media platforms.

Coordinate marketing partnerships with local hotels and restaurants.

Assist with financial planning and ticketing, performance packages.

Manage guest list requests and artist hospitality needs.

Coordinate production and logistics with the venue event manager, general manager, and sound engineers.

Coordinate, with the help of a sound engineer, performance AV and lighting for shows.

Coordinate artists and crew logistics around the venue and city for multiple hotel rooms, vehicles, and equipment with assistance of event manager.

Provide ongoing status reports on upcoming and active events. Maintain music and comedy talent for venue year-round for consistent and fresh deliverables to the customer and audience.

Potential annual performance bonus of 10% paid in quarterly installments. Additional compensation may be available based on events’ performance and execution.
