Senior Network Engineer – TEKsystems

Location: Savannah, GA

Type: Contract – Fully onsite

Pay Range: $55.00 – $65.00/hr

TEKsystems, an Allegis Group company, is seeking a senior network engineer to support LAN, WAN, and agency network environments. The role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and mentoring junior staff.

• Install, configure, maintain, and support LAN/WAN network environments.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures and assist with network designs.
• Perform high‑level troubleshooting and oversee junior and mid‑level network admins/engineers.
• Manage network control center, support network‑related projects, and provide leadership/mentorship.
• Design and develop integrated network architectures and evaluate new technologies.
• Translate business requirements into network specifications and conduct feasibility studies.
• Lead integration of new technologies and manage network migrations.
• Communicate with government overseers, executives, and other program personnel.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex network issues.

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 10 years of experience.
• TS/SCI security clearance (or eligibility).
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, voice, and video technologies.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, CCNP or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Mitigate risks, control costs, and manage integrated projects.
• Review/approve network engineering documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate integration activities among multiple teams.
• Maintain interface designs in a common format and repository.

• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment certification.
• IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline – Security+ or equivalent.
• Minimum CCNA at start and CCNP within 180 days (preferred: CCNP on day one).
