Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job SummaryResponsible for the supervision of the evening and overnight Summer Intensive participants. Reports to the Associate Dean of the College of the Arts. Primarily responsible for the safety and welfare of participants ranging in age from fourteen (14) to eighteen (18) years during the evening and overnight hours of the Summer Intensive program. Assists with program development, logistics, communication, marketing, and social media.
Responsibilities- Supervises the evening and overnight component of the COTA Summer Intensives
- Coordinates nightly room checks
- Engages students as needed for corrective behavior in the overnight hours
- Leads team in developing activities in pre‑planning meetings as needed
- Engages campus authorities with appropriate emergency protocols as needed
- Establishes and maintains effective parent communication as needed
- Escorts students to breakfast every morning
Educational Requirements
- High school or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
- Must complete all required Kennesaw State Minors on Campus Training and camp‑specific training during scheduled training times
Required Experience
- Previous experience working with young adults in a camp or educational setting
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working at the COTA Summer Intensive
Abilities
- Able to act in the best interest of young adults in your care
- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
- Strong customer service skills and phone and e‑mail etiquette
