Job Responsibilities
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job SummaryProvides assistance to the instructors for various summer camp programs for KSU Community and Professional Education. Weeklong daycamps for high school students run June 1-July 24 and camp assistants provide a safe and engaging environment for campers and instructors.
Responsibilities- Assists camp instructors in organizing and leading a variety of group activities.
- Ensures that classrooms are kept clean and organized.
- Understands emergency protocol and procedures.
- Identifies and responds to behavioral issues and reports concerns to camp leadership.
- Assists in maintaining accurate program records and attendance.
- Assists with camper arrival, lunch, and dismissal.
Educational Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
- First Aid and CPR training provided upon hire by the university

- Able to lead, plan, and facilitate group activities.
- Flexibility to work in teams and individually.
- A strong desire to help shape, influence and nurture the minds of children.
- Able to create a fun and positive energy classroom environment.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with summer programs, youth ages 14-18, or related experience.
The budgeted pay rate is $14.00 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

- Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
- Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
- Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
- Strong customer service skills
