PRIMARY FUNCTION

To provide appropriate learning experiences and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the class.

- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Preferred:
Advanced degree(s)) - Experience, Skill and Certification:
Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in the assigned teaching field.
Teaching Tasks

- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the Virtual Platform in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills.
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks.
- Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction; a. Participate in required Professional Learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement.
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner.
- Follows professional practices consistent with school and district policies in working with students, students’ records, parents, and colleagues
- Complies with school, district, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies
- Demonstrates professional practices in teaching
- Acts in a professional manner and assumes responsibility for the total school program, its safety and good order
Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 190 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience.
