Job SummaryThe Mathematics Academic Resource Center (MARC) pairs an Embedded Tutor with an MGA math course to encourage student learning and engagement.
Responsibilities- Attend class hours of an assigned MGA math course on a weekly basis.
- Speak with the course instructor of the assigned course on a weekly basis.
- Offer students in class assistance where appropriate as determined by the course instructor.
- Assist students with learning platforms such as ALEKS and D2L.
- Assist students with technology such as the TI‑84 calculator.
- Assist students with study techniques, note taking, and scheduling.
- Currently enrolled student in at least 6 credit hours at Middle Georgia State University.
- Current GPA of at least 3.00.
- Concurrently employed as a MARC tutor.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable with basic technology.
