Department Information The Department of Computer Science at Middle Georgia State University focuses on empowering students with knowledge and skills for a rapidly evolving digital world. It offers a range of undergraduate programs, including traditional Computer Science and Applied Artificial Intelligence, blending theory with hands-on learning, labs, internships, and industry engagement.

Job Summary The Department of Computer Science within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a ten-month tenure-track position involving teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate CS core and elective courses (see program information: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
  • Teach day and/or evening classes; travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) may be required.
  • Online teaching experience is required.
  • Provide service to the institution and engage in active research and scholarly activities leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Required Qualifications
  • Required Educational Qualifications PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or computing-related disciplines.
  • Other Required Qualifications Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
