Primary FunctionMember of the CEO's instructional team, responsible for duties related to direct support for instructional staff for the school year and transition to .
General Responsibilities And Duties- Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and provides support for content teachers of record.
- Creates lesson plans, aligned with current state standards, which drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiation.
- Maintains a safe, organized classroom, supporting students.
- Utilizes a variety of effective instructional and management techniques.
- Provides a variety of assessments and uses assessments for planning and instruction.
- Monitors and maintains a positive classroom environment that supports school‑wide behavior expectations.
- Uses available technology to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Attends and participates in faculty meetings and extra‑curricular/school related activities.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates responsible behavior.
- Performs other job‑related duties assigned by the CEO.
- Follows professional practices consistent with school policies when working with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Facilitates home‑school communication.
- Demonstrates professional practices in teaching:
- Models correct use of language, oral and written.
- Demonstrates accurate, up‑to‑date knowledge of content.
- Implements designated curriculum and grade level standards.
- Maintains lesson plans as required by school policy.
- Assigns instructional tasks and homework to students.
- Takes precautions to protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Plans and coordinates purposeful assignments with teachers of record.

Requirements- Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with teaching certification. - Experience, Skill, and Certification:
Classroom teacher experience, knowledge of best instructional practices, ability to lead and coach adults, eligible for Leadership Certification. - Must be computer literate.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- Must be able to navigate student databases to input relevant data.
- Must be able to relate to people of all ethnic groups and socio‑economic levels.
- Must be able to work with limited supervision.
Preferred:
Experience working with children in a Georgia school setting as a classroom teacher.
