The candidates for this position will be carefully and prayerfully evaluated according to the following essential criteria:
- Profess Christian with a Biblically sound faith experience that is clearly communicated and modeled.
- Display a personal and professional behavior reflective of the characteristics of a Christ-follower.
- Hold a core belief in Biblical integration within a framework of academics, with the ability to implement and expand such a framework.
- Reflect excellence in curriculum content, planning, alignment, and delivery.
- Demonstrate expertise in instructional practices, management, and assessments.
- Establish an engaging learning environment and positive student relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and divisions.
- Contribute to collegiality, community, and school expectations.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Curriculum development. Create lesson plans aligned with applicable standards and student needs, incorporating diverse teaching methods and activities to cater to different learning styles.
- Instructional delivery. Teach concepts clearly and effectively, utilizing visual aids, technology, and real-world applications to enhance understanding.
- Student assessment. Regularly monitor student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation to identify strengths and areas needing additional support.
- Individualized learning. Provide differentiated instruction to address the diverse needs of students, offering extra help or enrichment activities as required.
- Classroom management. Maintain a positive and structured learning environment, promoting active participation and student engagement.
- Communication. Regularly communicate with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance, progress, and any concerns.
- A bachelor’s degree in the appropriate subject is required at a minimum; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Formal classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Strong Scientific Knowledge: A thorough grasp of scientific concepts across various disciplines and levels of complexity.
- Excellent Communication
Skills:
Capability to convey complex scientific ideas in a clear and accessible manner to students of varying abilities. - Teaching Methodology: Familiarity with successful teaching strategies, including inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction, and collaborative learning approaches.
- Classroom Management
Skills:
Proficiency in establishing a positive learning environment, managing student behavior effectively, and promoting teamwork among students. - Assessment
Skills:
Expertise in creating valid and reliable assessments that accurately evaluate student understanding and progress in scientific concepts. - Technological Proficiency: Competence in incorporating technology tools into science instruction to enhance student engagement and facilitate learning.
- Laboratory Responsibility: Regularly integrate hands‑on experiments and lab activities into the curriculum, and skillfully instruct students in the proper use of available resources—such as glassware, chemicals, sensors, and other scientific equipment—to create a safe and engaging scientific environment.

Ecological Diversity for Educational Networking (E.D.E.N.), a176-acre outdoor education center
that provides an immersive environment for ecology, biology, and environmental science.E.D.E.N. includes forests, ponds, fields,demonstration stations, wetlands boardwalk, aquatic studies dock, observation tower, and an outdoor amphitheater. Teachers use thisarea for hands‑on ecological studies, species observation, and environmental projects that extend classroom learning into real ecosystems.
