Construction Superintendent Job Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on‑site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and local regulations. This role coordinates subcontractors, manages daily operations, and serves as the primary on‑site point of contact.

• Manage and supervise all on‑site construction activities from project start to completion
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, labor, equipment, and materials
• Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance
• Maintain the construction schedule and proactively resolve delays or conflicts
  
  Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, inspectors, and design teams
• Ensure work meets quality standards and contractual requirements
• Track daily reports, progress photos, inspections, and field documentation
• Identify and resolve field issues, including constructability challenges
• Oversee site cleanliness, security, and organization
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in construction supervision or field leadership
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid, Bluebeam)
• Valid driver’s license

• OSHA 30 certification
• First Aid / CPR certification
• Experience in commercial / residential / industrial construction (tailor as needed)
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills
