PRIMARY FUNCTION
:
This position is responsible for assisting and supporting departmental staff with secretarial and clerical requirements as well as customer service responsibilities, to promote the efficient and effective operation of the department.

- Education Level: GED or a standard high school diploma from a GaDOE‑approved and accredited institution is required.
- Preferred:
Coursework or degree in secretarial science or business;
Certification as a professional secretary. - Experience:
At least three years of experience in a secretarial or high‑level clerical role. - Skill:
High level of proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and other office‑related software packages. - Experience:
High volumes of telephone calls and walk‑in customers. - Skill:
Demonstrable oral and written communication skills, including drafting correspondence for management review. - Experience:
Standard office equipment and procedures. - Skill:
Use judgment to make or recommend decisions related to escalation based on policy. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade (103) as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This is a 250 day position.
