Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
Overview
Position Overview:
The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader is responsible for ensuring the team has a clear understanding of goals, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives and guest connections during the shift.
- Demonstrates mastery of the tasks of a Team Member with ease, enthusiasm and excellence
- Lead shifts that focus on team engagement and guest satisfaction with a commitment to Make Fun Happen
- Think strategically about maximizing product sales and waste management
- Maintain ownership of the store appearance and overall store look and feel
- Be knowledgeable about the daily deployment and the roles and responsibilities involved
- Communicate effectively on the floor during the shift
- Address the needs of the team and guests before issues arise
- Understand shift priorities and delegate objectives and tasks accordingly
- Take ownership for the current shift and the upcoming shift
- Ensure the team executes SOP and quality standards consistently
- Coaching and feedback to Team Members to ensure high performance
- Train team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotions
- Perform administrative tasks with integrity (e.g., bank deposits, inventory, store product orders) as assigned
- Develop Team Members and discuss career growth

- At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience required, or properly trained and approved by Caribou Coffee to take responsibility as a Shift Leader
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
The physical requirements for this position include hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to meet these requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
