General Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor assists in the management of all RCC property operations, including preventative maintenance care, directing Maintenance Technicians, and compliance with City, State, and Federal regulations as it applies to each RCC property. RCC currently has 18 single family home properties to maintain, with continued growth expected. This is a hands-on role not a desk job. Youll lead by example while assisting in the management of all RCC facility operations.

This position will interact with our persons served on a regular basis.

• Perform weekly and monthly maintenance routines for all properties and vehicles.
• Maintain working knowledge and hands-on ability with general and intermediate household maintenance, including drywall, light electrical, light plumbing, flooring, painting, basic HVAC, and remodeling work.
• Train new Maintenance Technicians on tasks and processes; assist with assignment of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• Assist with development and improvement of routine maintenance practices.
• Manage FMX work orders and delegate tasks to the maintenance team.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service calls as needed.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and correct any code violations.
• Snow plowing and winter site readiness.
• Demolition, clean-up, and general labor as required by the maintenance department.
• Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Take home a company vehicle and gas card; some tools are provided. Supervisor will need to supply additional personal tools as needed.
• Attend required RCC meetings as necessary and facilitate maintenance meetings.

• Ability to write narratives in grammatically correct sentences in English.
• Communication skills adequate to relay information in English.
• Valid Drivers License with a satisfactory record.
• Maintains vehicle insurance.
• Ability to pass a DHS background check.
• Must be willing to drive to multiple locations throughout Scott & Dakota County.

Compensation details: 30-35 Hourly Wage
