Sales Associate

Freedom Materials specializes in providing drywall and drywall-related services to residential and commercial contractors. Located in Savage/N. Laurel, Maryland, providing services to Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia areas.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Inside Sales/Counter Sales position based in Savage, MD. The Sales Associate will manage customer interactions, assist clients in selecting the right materials, and provide detailed product information. They will also handle sales transactions, maintain records, and ensure a smooth customer experience. Additionally, the role involves fostering strong relationships with contractors and builders to support their project needs and goals.

• Customer service and relationship-building skills to strengthen client connections
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
• Product knowledge of building materials, particularly drywall and related construction supplies is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse clients
• Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple customer accounts
• Proficiency in basic computer and point-of-sale systems
• Previous experience in the construction or building materials industry is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in sales or construction-related fields are advantageous
