As the Supervisor, Electrical Engineering
, your duties will include:

  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate assigned staff, including payroll accuracy, performance management, training, and staffing recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, legislative requirements, and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review reports, studies, and plans; support short- and long-term capital, operations, maintenance, and administrative planning.
  • Identify and recommend operational improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Provide technical oversight of engineering designs, work orders, and projects related to capital works, system extensions, maintenance, and replacement programs.
  • Review work orders, service applications, contracts, and specifications to ensure compliance with standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate approvals and project activities with municipalities, utilities, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support procurement activities, analyze project costs, and investigate variances.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Review municipal applications and oversee field investigations related to insurance claims.
  • Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma with designation as a Certified Engineering Technologist (
  • Professional Engineer ( designation in Ontario is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing engineering or technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with Access, Microsoft Project, and enterprise systems (, Cayenta) is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, assign, and schedule work effectively while working independently and taking initiative.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license.
