Role Overview

Interviews are underway for our season kick off, beginning in April and running through November, with the possibility of extending into December. As a seasonal team member, you'll enjoy winters off to travel, hunt, fish, or pursue the activities you love - while still keeping your benefits all year long.

This position will complete the company provided, in-house classroom and hands‑on training program to prepare for CDL behind the wheel test. Completion of the program is expected to be accomplished within the time frame designated by the company. Hands‑on training will be done using Tractor Trailer, Ready Mix or other DOT regulated trucks, and is conducted under the direct supervision of the Program Trainer.

Once the CDL license has been obtained this position will be responsible for operating a designated truck to transport material to pits, plants and/or job‑site location in a timely manner.

Typical hours during training are Monday - Friday, 6 - 8 hour shifts.

Duties and/or Responsibilities
  • Complete training assignments assigned and provided by the company
  • Safely operate Class A or B truck during hands‑on training under the direct supervision of the trainer
  • Assist in daily truck inspections for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck conditions
  • Correctly and accurately complete detailed driver logs within ICC regulations as required
  • Assist in daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform
  • Ready Mix if applicable - wash truck and keep truck clean inside and out. Assist with care of drums to prevent excessive buildup of concrete, attach chutes, adjust drum, climb ladder with 3 points contact to inspect load or clean drum
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations, including attending training
  • Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations
  • Self-motivated, team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive co‑worker and customer relations and act courteous and respectful toward others
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Must have obtained Certified Learner Permit (CLP)
  • Valid Class D Driver's License.
  • Must be able to obtain a Class "A or B" CDL within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Examination to obtain and maintain a medical card.
  • Have and maintain an acceptable driving record and required endorsements.

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Compensation
