Process Engineer

To conduct engineering study on ESRs/EDRs from other KJO organizations to prepare scope after engineering study as per guidelines and engineering standards. To participate in troubleshooting across the process systems to resolve any problems.

Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Provides specialist input into feasibility studies, identification of options, evaluation and selection, field development plan, asset reference plan and basic for design.

Develops, controls, maintains and apply process engineering technical expertise related to development of schemes, design selection, specification and operation of KJO production facilities.

Monitors plan operation for efficiency, safety and deviations from design conditions.

Provides technical leadership in development of less experienced Process engineers.

Provides in-house consultation and technical advice to KJO departments and solve engineering problems.

• Engineering Study Requests (ESR) received from various KJO proponent departments to perform study, evaluation, data collection, investigation, analysis, review and recommendations.
• Engineering Design Requests (EDR) received from KJO proponent departments to provide detailed design package for IFC (Issue for Construction package), in order to improve operability, economics, efficiency, reliability or safety of the facility.
• Coordination with the General Engineering Services (GES) Contractor assigned a certain project under Engineering Work Order (EWO) including scope of work preparation/ review, kick off/progress review meetings, site visits, design reviews, final submittals and also keep close liaison with the proponent and other departments for their reviews during the course of the project/EWO.
• Provides process related inputs in Conceptual Study, FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and DBSP (Design Basis Scoping Paper) of various projects of the company.
• Participates in various reviews of projects like different stages of Engineering Design, DBSP, HAZOP, Value Engineering, etc to provide process inputs.

Reviews and approves the waivers or deviation from Saudi Aramco Engineering standards, SAES standards upon request from EPC contractors or proponent departments.

Interprets standards and all other technical and code requirement which are not clearly defined to provide clarification to PCD/FPD.

Performs evaluation of the technical capabilities of various categories of work for new companies for registration and classification in KJO.

Troubleshoots and investigates the abnormal operational problems and issue remedial recommendations.

Carries out other similar and or related activities which includes liaising with other production or process engineering specialists to exchange process data or resolve current problems, maintaining an ongoing awareness of developing technologies in the oil and gas industry.

Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports for section in order to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.

Updates the assigned job log status and forwards itto the ESR coordinator on a weekly and quarterly basis.

Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
