Job DescriptionOverview:
A Planning Engineer plays a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects by developing and implementing comprehensive project schedules, monitoring progress, and identifying potential risks. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Project Schedules: Create detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e. g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) that outline the sequence of activities, resource requirements, and estimated durations.
- Monitor Project Progress: Track project progress against the established schedule, identify deviations, and implement corrective measures to maintain project timelines.
- Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring that all modifications are documented and approved.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and forecast completion dates.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in construction project planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency in project management software ( Primavera P6)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulation
