VCI is seeking a Contract Specialist to support contract and financial operations. The Contract Specialist role supports pre-award and post-award contract actions, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations and providing expert guidance on contract negotiation, administration, and pricing strategies.
Key Tasks- Review cost proposals and perform price/cost analysis.
- Confer with technical evaluators to determine negotiation positions.
- Support acquisition planning and contract administration per Appendix B deliverables.
- Maintain working knowledge of PWSs, CDRLs, and services acquisition processes (DAFI 63-138).
- Participate in TIMs, PIMs, and MFTs to provide contract-related insights.
- Assist in validation and reconciliation of funding allocations and expenditures.
- Maintain documentation for contract files.
- Track and report contract actions in monthly logs and MSRs.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Contract Specialist.
- Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting principles.
- Experience with contract negotiation and administration in a federal environment.
- Active Secret Clearance.
