Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will perform duties in a safe and appropriate manner. You will be responsible for maintenance and repairs on the job site.

• Measure, cut, shape, trim, assemble materials and components using hand and power tools
• Fix doors, build door frames and complete finishing work where required
• Build decks and landings
• Assemble furniture for site offices
• Complete roof repairs
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to Site Supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action

The successful candidate will have;

• Red Seal Certified as a Journeyperson Carpenter
• Three to five years of experience with maintenance and repairs
• Knowledge of basic equipment and power tools
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative
• Pre‑employment medical exam and drug test will be required.
