Description

AGI is currently looking for a full-time Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic. This person will be responsible for the general maintenance of shop equipment including forklifts, cranes, mobile cranes, production machinery, welders, cutting and shearing equipment, etc.
** DUTIES:**-Performing scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown & repairs as required and making recommendations as to the extent of the repairs required and suggestions for improvements.

-Diagnosing & troubleshooting machine, hydraulic and pneumatics equipment issues in a timely and safe manner.

-Installing and relocating equipment-Coordinating and working with various departments including welding, warehouse, blasting and production teams to ensure equipment is running appropriately.

-Providing periodic support to building maintenance needs. (ie: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
** EXPERINCE &

QUALIFICATIONS:

**-Preference of 3-5 years experience in similar positions & work environments-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems independently-General preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime-Able to read schematic drawings to repair equipment-Past experience working independently with minimal supervision-Knowledge to work safely-Strong command of the English language (read, write, speak)-Ability to work on higher elevations (ladders & lifts)
** REQUIREMENTS:**-must have valid Drivers License with a clean abstract-must be willing to relocate-must be a permanent Canadian Resident-must speak and read English fluently
