Labourer - Peterbilt

We are currently seeking a Labourer for our Peterbilt dealership in Saskatoon. This position is responsible for assisting in the service department. Duties will include, but are not limited to, cleaning equipment and the shop, and working with technicians. The labourer will play a key role in assisting the other personnel fulfill their duties and increase overall shop productivity. This position is an entry point for someone interested in pursuing an apprenticeship.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Detailing truck & trailer based equipment once the repairs have been completed
• Maintaining the wash bay equipment and cleanliness of the wash bay
• Cleaning parts and components
• Cleaning and maintaining the yard and shop
• Assisting in the dismantling of heavy equipment and components
• Organizing equipment in the yard and maintaining dealership premises (grading, leveling snow removal)
• Some inventory maintenance
• Assisting the other shop personnel with fulfilling their duties and increase overall shop productivity
• Other duties as assigned

• Able to carry out and understand verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy duty equipment environment (ie: lifting up to 50 pounds)

• Must be capable of working under minimal supervision
• Previous mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn required
• Forklift experience and truck & trailer parts handling considered an asset
