This position will be posted from January 8, 2026 - January 23, 2026.

An exciting internship opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon Pilot Plant beginning May 2026 for an approximate 4-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position and is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. The Laboratory Summer student will report to the Pilot Plant Analytical Specialist.

What you will do:

  • Environmental water sample analysis.
  • Titrations and product quality analysis.
  • Isotope analysis of samples.
  • XRF analysis on liquid and solid samples.
  • What you will bring:

  • Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 1 year of an undergraduate science degree that contains analytical laboratory work at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
  • Demonstrate positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Alignment with Nutrien’s purpose and values.
  • Preference given to student seeking a chemistry degree.
