• Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all customers.
• Committed to health and safety by following all safe work procedures.
• Provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs of the customer.
• Assist with dispensing petroleum products.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department by stocking, cleaning, labelling or any other assigned duties.
• Participate in store merchandising activities such as building and resetting product displays.
• Provide information, assistance and excellent service to customers in a manner that will promote the sale of merchandise in a friendly and courteous way.
• Any other duties needed to help to drive Gateway Co-ops vision and abide by our Co-operatives values of responsibility, respect and excellence.

• Applicant must be over the age of 16 to be considered for position.
• Retail experience is an asset.
• Applicant must be able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoon, evening, weekend and on statutory holidays.
• Must have the demonstrated ability to fulfill physical job requirements including, but not limited to:
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift to 11.34 kgs. (25 pounds).
  • Lift boxes up to 22.67 kgs. (50 pounds) on an intermittent basis.
  • Ability to push/pull heavier loads over 22.67 kgs (50 pounds) with use of a pallet jack; ability to climb ladders.
  • Extended periods of standing; repetitive manual work and other physically demanding requirements.
• Must be able to work outdoors in different weather such as hot, cold and/or inclement weather.
