NRGene Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of NRGene Ltd., a publicly traded Israeli company (TASE:
NRGN). NRGene applies advanced genomic analysis technology to accelerate natural breeding (non‑GMO) in animals and plants. NRGene Canada is based in Saskatchewan and operates as an R&D center that focuses on using NRGene’s technology for breeding of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) elite varieties. BSF larvae are used to convert agricultural waste into an alternative protein used in animal feed.
NRGene Canada is seeking a motivated individual to join our North American Insect Center as a part‑time Lab Assistant (approximately 50 % position). This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a professional research and insect‑rearing environment, while contributing to the daily operations of our Black Soldier Fly (BSF) research center.
This role is ideal for individuals with a background or interest in biology, agriculture, or life sciences, including students (second year and above) and others seeking part‑time employment in a research‑focused setting. While preference will be given to candidates with relevant academic or practical experience, we welcome applications from anyone who meets the requirements and is enthusiastic about sustainable insect‑rearing.
NRGene Canada is a dynamic and growing company. Strong candidates may have the opportunity to grow within the organization and transition into full‑time roles in the future.
