Do you enjoy bringing stories to life and using digital content to connect people, share ideas and make messages resonate? Curious about how a global organization shares its story with employees, communities, and stakeholders? Join IAMGOLD as a Communications Intern and gain hands‑on experience supporting internal and external communications that reflect the company’s values, purpose, and strategy.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Communications team to support content creation, production coordination, digital communications, and campaign execution. This internship is a great opportunity to build real‑world experience in corporate communications while contributing to meaningful initiatives in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Internship period:
May 4, 2026 to August 28, 2026.

What You’ll Do Content Development & Editorial Support
  • Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading employee communications, intranet stories, and updates.
  • Support the creation of visual content such as graphics, social shareables, and basic video edits.
  • Help ensure messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with IAMGOLD’s communications strategy.
Production & Event Coordination
  • Support the timely distribution of internal communications across digital channels.
  • Assist with logistics for employee events, including Town Halls and internal campaigns.
  • Help maintain and update content on the website, intranet, and e‑communications platforms.
Social Media & Digital Communications
  • Support content scheduling and monitoring for IAMGOLD’s social media channels.
  • Assist with basic photo editing and formatting for digital use.
  • Help track engagement metrics and identify opportunities to improve reach and impact.
  • Contribute ideas and creative input to communication plans and campaigns.
  • Assist with research, benchmarking, and content‑gathering from internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with translation teams to support bilingual communications.
What You Bring
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a postsecondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Linked In and X.
  • Comfort using Canva; basic knowledge of Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) is an asset.
  • Organized, detail oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
