Full-Time - Temporary / 12-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage) Wanuskewin Collective - Broadway Location Potential for extension or permanent employment

Wanuskewin Collective is more than a retail brand - it is a curated platform for Indigenous artists, designers, and makers. Through thoughtful merchandising, storytelling, and community connection, our gift shops celebrate Indigenous creativity in both traditional and contemporary forms.

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Marketing Manager to lead our marketing initiatives and elevate the Wanuskewin Collective brand across digital and in-store channels.

This full-time, 12-month maternity leave coverage position offers the opportunity to shape campaigns, grow our online presence, and lead content creation while working closely with the Manager and overseeing a Marketing Assistant. There is potential for extension or permanent employment.

What You'll Lead

  • Develop and execute a cohesive content calendar
  • Publish 3-4 posts per week
    , including:
  • Minimum 1 short-form video per week
  • Carousel posts, graphics, product features, and artist highlights
  • Promote seasonal launches, workshops, holiday campaigns, and special promotions
  • Create engaging, trend-aware content that aligns with Wanuskewin Collective's voice and aesthetic
  • Monitor performance metrics and refine strategy accordingly
  • Keep the website current, accurate, and aligned with modern design and retail trends
  • Update webpages with new products, promotions, seasonal collections, and holidays
  • Upload and merchandise new product listings with compelling descriptions and imagery
  • Ensure online campaigns reflect in-store initiatives
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for:
  • Seasonal collections
  • Holiday promotions
  • Artist features
  • Workshops and special events
  • Coordinate workshop preparation and promotion alongside the Marketing Assistant and Manager
  • Lead Beadmaster planning and organization, including promotional coordination and product spotlighting
  • Maintain organized campaign timelines and promotional calendars
  • Team Leadership & Creative Oversight

  • Oversee and assign duties to the Marketing Assistant
  • Guide content creation, short-form video production, product photography, and graphics
  • Oversee new product imagery to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment
  • What You Bring

  • 3+ years of marketing, digital marketing, or social media experience
  • Strong understanding of short-form video and current social trends
  • Experience managing e-commerce platforms and updating websites
  • Experience using the Meta Suite (Facebook/Instagram), and Google MyBusiness is an asset
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and visual merchandising sensibility
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring team members is an asset
  • Photography, graphic design, and/or video editing skills are considered an asset
  • Appreciation for Indigenous art, culture, and community-focused retail environments
