Specialist I, Clinical Solutions – SCI
Sysmex America, Inc., a global leader in diagnostic equipment and information‑management systems, invites applications for this critical role within its Clinical Solutions team.
Headquartered in Kobe, Japan, Sysmex applies science to enhance quality of life worldwide. The Clinical Solutions Specialist drives customer success by ensuring that our analyzers and related technologies deliver optimal performance for end users.
Responsibilities- Co‑travel with Applications/Solutions colleagues to gain proficiency with Sysmex analyzers.
- Gather and communicate customer requirements, demonstrating how Sysmex standalone analyzers meet those needs.
- Manage basic customer issues and concerns, researching information through colleagues and available resources.
- Perform proactive customer visits to assess operational state, ensuring satisfaction and optimization.
- Build basic middleware and assist senior CAS with testing and related setups.
- Complete required checklists, communications, and quality paperwork, making corrections as highlighted by senior CAS.
- Collaborate with the Applications Specialist Manager to outline scheduling and prioritize work.
- Work in‑person with senior CAS and Sysmex resources to learn new information and resolve customer issues.
- Support the Sales Team with basic analyzer questions and deliver basic presentations to customers.
- Execute other duties and projects as assigned.
Travel: 85%
Physical Requirements: Light physical effort; routine handling of objects up to 20 lbs; prolonged sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work; occasional moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting.
Qualifications- Medical laboratory degree with 1–3 years of experience.
- MLT certification specializing in Hematology, Urinalysis or Hemostasis.
- In‑depth knowledge of Sysmex products.
- Proven experience in diagnostics or the medical device industry.
- Experience working with Canadian healthcare customers.
- English proficiency;
French is a strong asset. - Comfortable learning new software.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic Microsoft Windows administrative knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal, persuasive, oral and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of network operation and troubleshooting.
- Maturity, professionalism, and tact with customers and associates.
- Collaborative mindset both internally and externally.
- Strong sense of urgency, can‑do attitude, and drive to achieve goals.
This role requires compliance with Sysmex’s customer credentialing, including proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), and COVID‑19.
