Senior Claims Specialist

• Collaborate with third-party providers on active travel claims cases requiring direction and advice
• Make final claims decisions and handle contentious claims, including legal correspondence
• Investigate and resolve escalated complaints submitted to senior management and insurance regulators
• Conduct audits of travel claims and credit card benefits processed by third-party providers
• Provide input on contract wording for new and existing products

• 3-5 years’ experience in adjudication claims, preferably in life, health, or travel insurance
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills
• Exceptional customer service skills, particularly under high-pressure situations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, especially for candidates in Québec

• University degree in any discipline or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and treatment modes
• Ability to evaluate alternatives and assess risks in decision-making
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and relationship building
• Accountability for identifying potential problems and implementing solutions
