Role: We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Developer to design, build, and optimize the cloud infrastructure that powers SGA’s AI-driven agricultural solutions. You will be responsible for creating scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms that support large-scale data processing, AI model deployment, and real-time applications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to shape the backbone of next-generation AgTech systems.
Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud platforms to support large-scale AI and data-driven applications.
Deploy, manage, and monitor AI models and services in production environments.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Automate workflows and CI/CD pipelines for reliable and efficient deployment.
Integrate diverse data sources (geospatial, drone, IoT, and field data) into cloud-based systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI engineers, software developers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and reliability standards.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies to continuously improve SGA’s platform capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field .
Proven experience designing and building cloud platforms at scale .
Hands-on expertise with major cloud providers ( AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform ).
Proven experience to deploy AI applications on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms.
Experience setting up and implementing AI applications on colocation servers at data centers (e.g., Sask Tel Data Center).
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages for cloud and backend development.
Strong understanding of cloud security, authentication, and data governance .
Experience managing large-scale data processing pipelines .
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, startup environment.
