Job DescriptionWe cover transportation (shuttle service to-and-from site, ONLY out of Saskatoon or Prince Albert), meals, & accommodation when job is located at the Foran Mine site in Saskatchewan, which is approximately 3.5 hours northeast of Prince Albert and 85 km west of Flin Flon, MB.
SHIFT WORK IS REQUIRED; WORK SCHEDULES ARE 2-WEEK IN-AND-OUT ROTATIONS.
Reporting to the housing manager, Housing Attendants (Housekeepers) are responsible for housekeeping duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps. Duties must be completed in accordance with contract standards & specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, and area rugs.
- Make beds.
- Clean and sanitize all areas as assigned.
- Collect garbage.
- Clean rooms to required specifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Things to consider:
requires shift work at remote sites - mining facilities & exploration camps. You must be a team player who works well with others.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast, thorough, efficient manner with attention to detail.
- Grade 10 would be an asset.
- One year of housekeeping experience would be an asset.
- A suitable combination of education & experience will also be considered.
- A valid Driver's license with a safe driving record is a strong asset.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid, recognized first aid certificate.
- Ability to perform housekeeping duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of safety procedures associated with working with hazardous products, including WHMIS.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Physically able to perform the assigned duties.
