The Role

Reporting to the sr. technologist, you will play a key role in supporting engineers and technologists within the team. Working as part of a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary design group, you will contribute to a variety of project activities.

In this role, you will:

Prepare electrical and instrumentation design documents.

Gather, review, and organize technical vendor information.

Support the development of capital cost estimates.

Collaborate with engineers and technologists on design deliverables.

Assist with various stages of project planning and execution.

Participate in on‑site visits to production facilities to support project design needs.

Required:

diploma in electrical or instrumentation technology;

minimum one year of related industry experience;

eligible for future or designation;

strong communication, planning and organizational skills;

proven ability to work effectively in a team environment;

proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel; and

occasionally commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

demonstrated willingness and aptitude to learn new tools, standards, and processes;

familiarity with ANSI/ISA‑, CSA M421, and working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;

experience using the Elecdes Design Suite;

experience with Auto Desk Vault and Autodesk Plant 3D, including smart P&IDs and 3D modelling; and

background in the mining industry or other heavy industrial environments.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $106,330
